Each child has their own individualized curriculum to best meet their learning needs. Initially, an assessment is given to identify areas of strength and areas to further develop. From there, learning goals are developed across the curricular areas. Children work on fine motor skills, guided reading, early phonics, vocabulary development, writing, and foundational math skills. Parents receive a monthly progress report to track learning goals and progress.
Usually handwriting and early reading skills, in addition to, overall confidence in all aspects of learning.
Typically, children start at 4 years old or when parents feel comfortable or when the child shows signs of interest in learning. We also work with early-aged children on language development.
Parents are busy now more than ever working and raising their families. One-on-one learning is one of the most productive ways to learn. We Are Little Scholars finds ways to connect with children to create a unique educational environment. We work long-term with children and families to ensure continuity and consistency for the child. Covid school closures took away time from learning, which caused even more of a need for education programs like WALS. Many families are looking for an individualized experience when it comes to their child's education. WALS provides in-depth planning, implementation, and reporting of progress. We work with clients in Los Angeles and New York.
